Push Connect Fittings on Polybutylene
I have used both Shark Bite and Brass Craft. I know shark bite makes a Polybutylene to Pex conversion. Brass Craft says their push to connect are only for copper, pex, and CPVC but I have used on Polybutylene with great success. The plumbing guy at Home Depot says they work great, just no warranty. ...

Fill Dirt Please help
Hello my friends. I just purchased a truckload of fill dirt to fill some holes in my two driveways 4 days ago. It rained yesterday. I had to drive over the spots I filled. The car tires left some pretty big track depressions. My fear is that each time it rains, I will track away my fill dirt little ...

Re: Simple Question.......trying to repair toilet tank leak!
Ok, thanks for your reply Greg? Is the bottom what is called a sharkbite fitting? I am just curious. What size is the tubing..... 1/2 inch?
I did tighten it some more as you suggested and that seems to have fixed the problem.
Again, thank you for responding. I appreciate it.

Mobile Home with Polybutylene piping Question?
Hi friends! I have a leak underneath the kitchen sink. The piping is Polybutylene (I think). I need to repair. Basically, I need to cut out a section of pipe and replace to stop the leak. Polybutylene I am told is no longer in use but shark bite fittings can be used to adapt from Polybutylene to Pex...

Re: leaking hot water heater, desperate for help!
This is exactly how my hot water heater looks. I simply found it easier to replace the whole tank. I purchased mine from home depot for $237.00 in 2012 ( GE 40 Gal. Medium 6 Year 4500 Watt Double Element 240 Volts Electric Water Heater) and had a friend do the installation for me.

Re: Help Please - bathtub faucet / shower head
Ok, that is what I will do then (replace the cartridges). It is too much trouble trying to replace the entitre assembly without easy access to the rear. I really don't see a way to access unless you cut the drywall after removing the trim I think. Another question Dan. Will the shower head just scre...

Re: Help Please - bathtub faucet / shower head
Hi countrydan, thanks for your reply. why are you replacing these? you can just turn off the water, relieve pressure, and replace the cartridges just so you know... I don't understand. What do you mean by cartridges ? you cannot replace this from the front you may need to remove a panel to get acces...
