Sounds like I'll change out the boxes.
How about insulation to 2" X 2" studs? I assume standard fiberglass won't fit?

Re: sheetrock
Looking at going to sheetrock and would like to piggyback on this thread... Once the paneling comes off and the 1/2 sheetrock goes up, how do you adjust/adapt for the 1/2 gap between the electrical boxes and the electrical wall plates? Wouldn't the electrical plugs be 1/2" behind the cover plat...

Lights Dimming
When an appliance comes on, all the lights dim. I will not be doing the work. I plan to hire an electrician but would like an idea of what may be wrong or causing this. I don't plan on having the place rewired but if it could be a ground or connection issue I'd have them fix that. The 40 year old mh...

Re: Sewer Connection
Thanks.
I'll check the hangers/supports and alignment. If all is good, I'll glue in a coupler.

Sewer Connection
The connection between the home (abs pipe) and utility (abs pipe) is made with a piece of rubber hose and two hose clamps. Is this standard? If so, is this to allow for expansion? It won't stay tight and has come apart once. It seems the hose was cut too short and instead of replacing the hose, I'd ...

Skirting Base
Is the base track of the skirting supposed to sit on the ground? In this case it's all dirt. The previous owner put rock around the skirting and the rock pushed the skirting in at the base. I pulled the rock back and the skirting hangs in the air with what looks like nails (now rusted) driven into t...

Re: Skirting Venting Ideas?
Thanks for the welcome and info.
I'll check out the vents at the local hardware store.
I also have a fan I can run under there.

Skirting Venting Ideas?
We just bought a home in MHP and it sits on a dirt lot. It's very wet (drainage issue) on one end underneath the home. After correcting the drainage issue, I'd like to remove some skirting on both ends so that the air can flow through and dry out. We have wild animals around I have to keep them out....
