Canada is proposing to ban incan. bulbs, but they better think twice about
CFL's.
Esp. after reading these disturbing stories.

Re: RE: Building Low Rise Steps
Hi Squirt, I've also looked for these types of plans online. They are no where to be found! I need wider steps going into the back door and up to the front deck. We've got senior friends and a our puppy that is having a hard time getting up and down those normal stairs at 7 to 8 inches. Maureen 8) ...

RE: Green Tips For Earth Day!
Ditto on what Yanita said. I am going to do a survey of how many things are plugged in constantly and all those transformers drawing power. However, with our non-polluting hydro I don't feel too bad. I recycle, compost, all electric, solar heaters, drive a Honda Fit that gets me 41 MPG. (Imperial) A...

How is this possible?
Clicking on the "Who is Online" tab showed this;
A "Guest" posting a message and another viewing private messages.
Is there a hidden site on here. I can't do this as a Guest.

Re: RE: LOg in all the time
And another issue is having to log in twice before it actually "accepts" the log in! When I come to the site as a Guest I see 3 "Log in" places. One is at the btm. of the index page. Another says"Log in" and the third is Log in to check messages. 1 and 2 show a window ...

RE: Reminder to old and new
I guess my prior explanation about this problem didn't seem to make a diff. to the MODS. Let me state again, UNLESS you are invited to "New Friend Requests" you cannot "see" the MPS tab. And you cannot edit your profile. I don't know why someone has not fixed this as many others ...

A few questions
Checked who is online this morning and a "Guest" was viewing "private messages". Is this supposed to be able to happen? "Most users ever online was 28 on Tue Mar 20, 2007 1:34 pm". I usually see only 4-10 online at one time. Must have been a private party going on? Now ...

Re: RE: Bowed wall panelling
Bill, the mod's screen is about the same as your's. I had the same problems, I wonder it is a IP thing. Greg Greg; log out and tell me what you "see" in the tabs. I was talking about the screen one would see if they log out. It would look like what a visitor would see, not someone who has...

Re: RE: venting skirting
That is...1 square foot of free vented area for every 150 square feet under the home. If you put screen on your vent (recommended) then it takes away from the area of the vent. Someone here must know the percentage that screen takes away. Jim I don't use these type of vents for my skirting, I just ...

Re: RE: Bowed wall panelling
Ok Tim, On the top of the page under the BOOKS/PARTS link is there one called new friends requests or something similar, if so click on that. ~Yanita~ Yanita; Just a hint as I had the same problem in the "Website--No MPS" thread. If the Mods would "Log-out" and look at the tabs ...

I stand to be corrected, but after Greg reminded me, I voted and that is when the radio boxes disappeared. That may mean only one vote per member.JD wrote:I don't think you can vote on your own poll. The fishing poll I came up with only gives me the results and not the clickable radio boxes.

How did you find this great site
Now that Yanita has posted her question I thought it was time with almost 200 members, er should I say somewhere between 190 and 200 to ask how you came to Mobilehomerepair. If I miss an obvious option maybe I can add it. If you have a funny story or whatever that can't be answered by a simple click...

Re: Complete remodel of bathroom
Hi everyone So heres my questions? How much remodeling should I do as my trailer is in sever need of re-leveling? Should I just replace the floor for now, reinstall fixtures, and wait till after re-leveling to finish walls? Or can I do it all and be done with it? Which would be better? Remove the f...

Just to add to Yanita's link and perhaps help other new members, here is the link to the diagram of a single-wide with all the parts listed.

Bill: Did you click on the "new friends request" link, which is in the spot where the MPS link should be?" ? Bill When I first signed up Mark had to send me a "new friend request". After I did that I got the MPS tab. Thanks to Sylvia I now have the tab back. Some of my sett...
