Re: RE: CHANTIX - success?
I have been smoking for 35 years and I was a 3 pack a day smoker/ burner. The G/F got on the Chantix before I did and I saw how it worked for her so I tried it. My smoking went down to the point I was only smoking while at work during the week. I had it down to a pack a day. :) I stayed at this leve...

Floor Support
We are thinking about getting a 150 gallon aquarium (I know I know). We have to 55 gallon setups now. Well at 8.34 LBS a gallon that is over 1250 LBS of just water, Plus the tank, stand, gravel and the rest of the setup. I am figuring close to 2250 LBS sitting on the floor with an area of 72" x...

Skylight
Looking for a skylight. I have looked at several places for a replacement 22" x 30" skylight for the up and coming roof repairs this January (Thats the way my luck goes....) I know a lot of the decking will have to be replaced at the same time. Some of what I am pondering is: I know how to...

I fully understand what you're saying. But what if you had a carbon monoxide alarm in the room? Is there any other kind of fumes that could potentially get into the room?? Most carbon monoxide alarms take more frequent maintenance than a smoke detector every year.... How long since you changed the ...

Re: RE: Question about nailing wall structure to the floor
Hi Samantha, Yes, no plumb-bobs. Reminds me of when my Dad called a cabinet maker out to do custom cabinets on the company boat, a 120' research boat. The guy was walking up the gang plank with his tool box and 6' level. My Dad and the skipper just laughing. JD But it also makes a great straight ed...

Wellllll wattage indicates electric, Gas would be BTU. :) The Element Wattage (Upper/Lower) is 4500/4500 on the standard and 0/3500 on the mobile home. Just looking at the numbers you listed: The Mobile Home water heater at 3500 watts will draw ABOUT 15 amps at 220 volts. The Other water heater at 4...

RE: Dryer wire
Technically NFPA 70 (Electrical code used in most of the country) Requires a "listed" bushing in those holes in the metal to insure the wire insulation does not get nicked or cut as it is pulled into place. Also protects the wire from wear as the structure vibrates and could wear a hold th...

We used 2 light bulbs in series in the pump house for years (I still need to do that here) It reduces the current draw of both bulbs, Both bulbs will produce about half the heat. The pair of bulbs in the place in East Texas had been there for 10 years burning from October to March.

Well Sprinklers are nice and depending on your insurance company will pay for themselves in savings on Fire Insurance. Sad thing is Cities charge more for a larger water tap to supply the sprinkler system. NOW if you are on a well you will need a place for a storage tank and pump to meet NFPA 13D. I...

RE: Probably gonna be selling.
We have strays roaming around here at nights and the G/F wonders why I keep a BB gun around, She is scared to death of guns. Now the Yorkie I inherited when I got the G/F stopped eating out of the cat litter box several years ago(he is about 10 in people years), But as I type this I am watching him ...
