Re: Help installing new MDF molding..
Why not drill tiny pilot holes through the MDF first? Then it should be easier to nail into place.

Re: Suspended Ceiling or Sheet Rock?
If you go to eBay and search ceiling tiles, they have the glue up ones. They come in a zillion styles and colors. They are very lightweight and have an R-value. They are pricey, but for someone like me, with very poor handyman skills, they look very easy to install.

Re: Kitchen Backsplash
I'm not sure what everyone is cooking in the kitchen to get their backsplash so dirty, but mine never needs anything more than a simple wipe down. Working tile and grout, into that tight space, seems unbelievable challenging and MESSY. This tile substitute looks real nice to me. If the adhesive star...

Re: Paint sprayer
I bought the Graco Project Painter 7. Model: 261805. It is an airless paint sprayer. I used it to spray the stucco wall that surrounds my lot. It worked beautifully. I bought it online from gleempaint.com. I HIGHLY RECCOMEND this company. I've bought all the tips and storage fluids from these guys. ...

Looks beautiful!!!
Please don't be offended, just an idea. The area where you removed the faux rock and put the white/bulletin board thing. If you remove the cabinet below the counter top, you could use that space as a little desk or home office.

Re: Corrugated metal ceiling
Ahhh, the final stretch frustrations. I may not know a hammer from a handlebar, but I and everyone else, understand what your feeling. It will all be finished soon enough and life will return to normal. Best of all, you'll have a beautiful place to call home. Don't forget to laugh, it helps a lot. G...

Re: Corrugated metal ceiling
It looks beautiful. I'm liking the white appliances, especially since the ceiling moulding is white. The SS appliances, with the corrugated metal ceiling might be too much. The flooring is very handsome and ties the cabinets and walls together. A nice simple cabinet hardware and it's ready for house...

Re: Drywall
Drywalling is a skill. Although every handyman or DIY'er I know, claims it's easy. If the framing isn't perfect, the boards don't lay properly and the problems build from there. Born and raised on the east coast, I never saw textured anything. Moving out west, everything is textured. I'm not a fan. ...

Re: My adventures in Mobile Home duct cleaning!
I'm thinking of a different way to attack this problem. Instead of trying to vacuum the debris out, I would blow it out. A leaf blower might be too cumbersome to use, but my shop vac has an out port that I can attach the hose to and it acts as a blower. The hose is very narrow, flexible and long. I'...

Fireplace. Gas or Wood burnig?
Happy Holidays, to all. The cold weather has me wanting to put in a fireplace. Never having lived with one, not sure which is best to go with. Running the gas line won't be hard, with everything being gutted out of the trailer. For that matter putting in a chimney shouldn't be that difficult either....

Gut Renovation
I'm getting ready to undertake a total gut renovation of my 1978 triple trailer. It's roughly 1700 square feet. The roof is new. I have already bought the new kitchen cabinets and slab granite for the counters (not installed yet). I just had installed a brand new gas hot water heater. I bought all n...

Re: Water Heater Help
I understand a plumber or technician can't be 'proactive' regarding all possible issues surrounding a job. We're not taking about a 'wet paint' sign here, we are talking about GAS. The reason I hired a professional plumber was for their skills and knowledge. A plumber working on a gas hot water heat...
