Counter trim
We are putting in granite tile on the kitchen counter, and since the tiles are large, I would like to use a wood trim on the edges, stained to match the floor. My question, is that we were told to use screws, not nails, when attaching plywood to the existing counter, but since we aren't doing that p...

Corners
We have a 95 double wide and the walls appear to be a low grade sheet rock. I've removed the corner strips and at first replaced them with the faux wood corners you can find at the home improvement store. Wanting this to look as close to stick built as I can, I am now ready to try my hand at making ...

Re: PaperIllusion
I am looking at this product for a bathroom counter, and was wondering how it has held up under normal wear and tear...and water!

Re: Is this legal?
The above statement of yours clearly supports what I said. Intelligent people will inquire into the facts before "taking up arms" simply because they heard upsetting news. Obviously they jumped to the conclusion the park owner was at fault and without bothering to first gather the facts fo...

Re: Is this legal?
Greg S, The reality is they do not do it to defend their rights they do it to elevate their own importance in the eyes of others. Wrong. At least in the situation that I spoke about. I think when you tell someone they will lose water, or electricity, they have every right to be upset, when the fault...

Re: Is this legal?
Sorry for the delay, things have been a bit nuts around here. We live in a very small city, (not sure it actually IS a city, only 2400 population), and after talking with the park owner, it appears this was politics at work. City Hall, is run by someone that would like the park owner to use a recomm...

Is this legal?
Technically, this isn't "repair"...but it wasn't off topic, either, or so I thought. If the post doesn't belong here, I won't be offended at all if the mods move it :) I just received a notice, from the city, stating that our park is in violation of code, and constitutes a health risk to t...

Metal Roof
We have a 1995 Double Wide, with a typical shingle roof. I really like the idea of a metal roof, due to our extreme weather (hurricane force winds that rip off shingles, and temps that go from triple digits in summer, to below 0 in winter). Has anyone replaced shingles, with metal?

Re: 1st real project in 1998 DoubleWide
I'd take hunter green over pink, any day of the week....which is what we had in our 95 model...the whole place. Looks awesome!

Re: Fiberglass panels
Hi, no curved corners, no soap dishes, its not a molded piece, but panels covered by some form of waterproof fabric, (you can feel the pattern when you run fingers over the surface). They are flat panels, with trim in the two corner sections. I would like them covered, because the previous owner tri...

Fiberglass panels
Has anyone used the FRP panels for the bathtub/shower? I've been watching videos, asking around and everyone says they just glue on, right over the existing wall...before I screw anything up, I was hoping to hear from someone who had used them with success! We have panels already surrounding the tub...

Water Heater Draining
Have you ever asked a question, knowing that the answer would make you feel like an idiot? I would like to drain our water heater, so we can move it and replace the bathroom faucet. The water heater is in a little walled off cubby, in the adjacent bedroom's closet. There is a long walk down a hallwa...

Re: Vinyl planks
Hi Liz, We did the Allure planks in our entry way, couldn't be happier. (see post on Decorating Forum for pictures) The patterns available are endless, we chose tile. I have heard that they don't have the longest wear life, but we are two old folks, (with two active spaniels) so I put a few rugs dow...
