RE: New Roof Time
If you are re doing the roof you might want to extend the eaves a few inches as part of the project to aid in venting.

RE: moulding gaps
Latex caulking...It can be painted. Actually, trim should be mitered where it meets in a straight stretch to avoid just this problem.

RE: New Roof Time
What you use for the covering will depend on the slope. Most low slope like mine (2/12) will require shingles. I believe that a metal roof requires a pitch of 4/12 or greater, but check your codes and manufacturers recomendations. It is an excellent idea to put ice/water shield over the whole roof e...

RE: driveway gravel
"A" grade driveway gravel. It is a combination of crushed stone and fine sandy crush. The fine stuff fills in the voids and helps it all adhere to itself. Works well and is also the stuff you want for a gravel base under sidewalks, patio stones, concrete pads for sheds, etc.

RE: 2007 Hurricane Season
Got a nice t-storm last night. We really needed some rain! Found some leaky areas in the roof. No funds to fix it, we need to totally re roof and that will be about 5K. Yeesh, hope the lottery kicks in my way soon, lol.

Well, between the blown out knee, the van starting to go south, and all the work to be done around here, it will be a few moons before I will even get to look at one again. But when I do, I will let you know.

I was thinking maybe a Korg AX1500. I think the local shop might straight trade my Tube screamer for one as it is an original and worth about $300 CDN. I would like to have the expression pedal on it and a whole slew of old amps and effect modeled sounds good too. The better half likes the head phon...

Yup! SRV still raves on here too. To think they can't get Bon Jovi near a helicopter, drat! It is amazing how loud a tube amp is. Of course to double the volume (in dB) you have to multiply the wattage by 10. You can't be in the same room with my "little" 30 watter with the volume over 6. ...

I have a Squire Pro Tone Strat which is....well..OK. Has a decent tone and a beautiful clear red finish with gold (paint) hardware. Good for my clunky playing through my tweed Peavey Classic 30. I want to do the home built route. By a nice maple neck and build the body. I have a chunk of Ash that is...

RE: Plants and Trees Dying Overnight?
Could be some new type of invasive species has caught up to your area. Had an arbourist out here a few years ago and he states that our trees had been in a drought situation for over 10 years, even though we live right next to a river, and that it could take several years for damage to show from it....

Everything you buy here in Ontario has 7% GST and 7% PST to be added to it. Gas is about 1.07 but I haven't been impressed about gas prices since .60/l. lol. But we wouldn't want those poor oil companies to go without now would we?
