RE: Kitchen backsplash ideas

I would like to say that a friend of mine owns a 2000 model Mobile home that had a tile backsplash. She wasn't very good at wiping her counter top without soaking it. Her wall warped behind the tile, and of course the tile tile came loose from the wall. I removed the tiles and let the wall dry. I to...

Search on Google for Walk-in-tubs or Safety-tubs will give you alot of options.

I sure hope this helps.

RE: Replacing a tub enclosure with a full size shower enclos

There are a new style of tub for those with disabilities. They have a door in the front that seals when closed, if you prefer a tub. They come with built in seats. They come in different styles and sizes. It escapes me what they are called. I will find out, since I thought of getting my mom one inst...

My neighbor has on as well. only about 12' wide and extends 8' out. They love it, cause they weren't aloud to cover their deck. Looks very nice, and they only have to have it out when they want. They said they got it at Wal-mart for $180. I would like to get on, but I always forget to look when i'm ...

RE: flood

Thanks Yanita. I understand about the slabs too. Under my trailer is usually the first place to get the water. The park here was also built on the old river bed, and everyone says the River always finds its origin ground. My aunt has a pic from her parents of when the river used to flow right here. ...

RE: flood

Terrace is still OK, but lar3140 is close to the Fraser river were he lives. If you watch Canadian news, the Fraser river is already flooding in certain areas. I'm hoping tomorrow is a clear day, so I can take pics to show of all the fresh snow on our mountains, and the level of the rivers so far. W...

lar3140, Is Deroche near Chilliwack? We heard up here that all of Chilliwack was gonna be under water and that they have started preparing. I would agree with Yanita, and be prepared to evac. I stopped to check the creek here today, and dispite the cold, the water is coming up. And, I was wrong. The...

RE: flood

Like I said in another post, Terrace already knows the rivers, back channels and creeks are going to flood, but no-one has even started to prepare. It just amazes me! That is why we are up on concrete now. We used to be on logs. Floods and wood don't go together. Wood gets wet, trailer sinks into wo...

RE: flood

About the anchors. If you have enough clearance under your trailer, you can dig a hole deep enough to completly cover a five gallon bucket. Fill the bucket with concrete and have one end of a very thick chain cured in the concrete. Put the chain around steel beam, and then use a padlock, or metal cl...

RE: flood

Are you anchored down? I know here in Terrace,B.C. It is mandatory for new trailers to be anchored, but of course, ours is old and not anchored. It is hard in Terrace to get flood insurance because of all the floods here. Check your policy. We have only one benefit. Our boot-room floor is framed in s...

RE: IT'S DEGA DAY!

Yanita, Had to do it. Can't stand the winter gear, kids bikes and all the tools being inside the front door. I want to get the front boot-room finished, but everything in the way. Couldn't get in the shed either for all the stuff dropped right inside the door. Finally got it done though. I feel like...

RE: Waiting for Godot knows when

I have to add my 2 cents to this and let you know the reasons for delays with grants. I am in northern B.C. I do have a copy of the B.C. Governments Grants program book since we sub-contract through-out B.C. Alot of grants won't even accept anything until you have three bids. Most contractors won't ...
