When I stopped into some stores, it seemed like "every man for himself"
I was disgusted by some of the actions.
Walking around lowes with my heater I had people following me...lol

RE: It's over...I hope.
I would love a pellet stove at least...I am just way friggin paranoid about fires...lol I had a apartment fire many years ago, so I am very OCD about that subject. Everything that isn't being used needs to be unplugged, smoke detecters every 10 feet, waking up in the middle of the night to check tha...

It's over...I hope.
Thursday at 11pm, an hour after the ice storm started we lost power. I walked out onto my porch in time to see a transformer up the street go, then another. Over 200,000 people in my area were without power. Ours was returned 4 days later, but many will be without for more. The sheer destruction of ...

...blower kicking on to soon?
I've realized that my blower seems to kick on sometimes 2-3 seconds after the furnace fires, is this typical? It will (of course) start out with cool air and then gradually warm up. It says Nordyne on all the stickers inside the door, but says Beckett on the head itself. I removed the cover to the b...

There are several configurations it could be...power in, power out, power to the light...power it, power to the light, power back...etc...
Is it at the end of the circuit? Is it powering another outlet? Does the power branch off from the light and continue on?

RE: Bail-Out Bonuses
A few years ago GM was (still) having problems with employee medical situations...They decided "yes" our employees can have health care but we'll bump the price of our cars up between $800-$1,500 dollars to cover our losses. Well, then they came into another problem, over priced vehicles.l...

We're starting to see more and more hybrids at my shop. Mostly Honda's...I personally believe it will lead back to a dealer defect in the transmission but time will tell. Average repair so far is $2,400+. My first car was a 68 Dodge Dart with the slant 6...I just got rid of 2 4 cylinders (escort &am...

RE: Bail-Out Bonuses
Have you heard the latest ? After the bailout, as many of you know, AIG executives I guess were overstreesed and had to decompress. So they relaxed by celebrating our stupidity. They spent $440,000 of our cash to visit a luxury retreat in California. What’s worse, they added to the insult by blowing...

RE: Bail-Out Bonuses
Don't forget that the first bailout bombed, and the only way they got it passed this time was by adding sweeteners for those that opposed it the first time... and that 20% went right to Project Acorn. You know, the group that caused most of this problem by affirmative action. Forcing banks to give l...
