Re: Hook up drain to double bathroom sink
HouseMedic, Thank you for the pic it helps a lot. Is all your piping 1 1/4" and then you have a coupler at the end of your P-trap to enlarge your pipe to 1 1/2" or is it all 1 1/2". If it isn't 1 1/4" is it ok to use 1 1/4" piping till I get to the main drain or do I have to...

Hook up drain to double bathroom sink
Not sure how to hook up a drain for new double sink in the bathroom. As always any help is really appreciated. As you can see in the picture the drain has to go behind drawers. I can only take a pic of the one drain but there is another one on the far left.

Mice in the wall
I can hear a chewing noise in my wall which is why I am writing this right now. Not sure if it is a mouse or what. What do I do? Do I have to rip open the wall? It sounds like its in the middle of my bedroom wall. I banged the wall and it stops but then starts up again in 10 minutes.

Re: Tub Drain
HouseMedic, They told me they don't make them anymore and sold us a p-trap that is opposite than what is already on the drain pipe which means I would have had to cut off the female end of the p-trap. Thanks so much for the link. I just have a couple questions before I quit posting to this. I did bu...

Re: Tub Drain
MH store doesn't sell this style of P-trap. Is this type still available?
The beveled edge is on the bottom and the threaded edge is glued to the drain pipe. If not I guess I'll have to do some cutting underneath. Was trying to avoid that cause there's two drain pipes next to each other.

Re: Tub Drain
Well I got under there and grabbed a good light and was able to see the drain much better. There wasn't a nut like I thought. All I had to do was unloosen the nut on the P-trap and then I was able to turn the entire drain. I bought a drain tool from harbor freight but still couldn't get the top drai...

Re: Tub Drain
Thank you for the reply. I was just going to post that I looked at the above posted link and saw the drain tool. To get the nut off the bottom what do you suggest to use? A spanner wrench maybe? Not much room under there. Also, is the drain glued into the drain elbow or just screwed in. So sorry for...

Re: Tub Drain
JD, Drain tool? Not sure what tool you are talking about. I went under the home today and wasn't sure exactly where the drain was till I saw a square piece of tin screwed under there. I unscrewed that and cut a slit in the home apron and water fell out. I was able to see the drain connections. It lo...

Re: Bathtub flooring
Is it ok to use 2 x 4's or do I have to use 2 x 6's? It's not going to be easy adding boards to the 2 x 6's on the ends. Any suggestions?

Bathtub flooring
An area in front of the tub was soft so I cut it out. It is not rotted out under the tub. As you can see in the pics the edges next to the tub aren't a very clean cut. Didn't have a sawzall so the cuts are jagged. Am I going to have to nail or screw some boards perpendicular to the floor boards unde...
