RE: need advice about floor under water heater
I don't understand why the water heater would go out by removing it from the room. This is a good chance to drain your tank, flush it out good and add a new anode. Your tank should still be good. Then plum it in properly using pex, a heat trap if required, shutoffs, etc... If you do think of replaci...

Outdoor Propane Tanks - Winter storage
I have a propane fireplace in my mobile home. It currently uses a 100lb tank sitting outside with a valve for refilling from a truck. I'd like to get rid of this tank and replace it with two 25 or 30lb tanks. I only use the fireplace as a luxury and not primary heat so I don't go through enough prop...

Trouble downloading manual
I was viewing my online account for orders, and I saw my previous order I made for the Mobile Home Repair Manual. So I viewed that order in order to download it. All I see is the manualintro.wmv file. How would I go about downloading the manual.pdf? It seems to me that the link to the .pdf file is m...

RE: Move light switch and add additional lighting in home
Forgot to mention if your unsure about anything to use a qualified electrician to do the work. Just knowing where to route the wire is only 10% of the job. If you don't do proper joints or connect the neutral to the wrong terminals, things will work, but personal injury or fire may occur down the ro...

RE: Gutter repairs
They also sell that plastic do-it-yourself gutter stuff at hardware stores. Seems easy enough to install and you don't require a professional to form a 1-piece aluminum gutter from a roll of shet metal. I'd look into that. Also you can get screen to insert in there to keep debris out. Also you can h...

RE: Move light switch and add additional lighting in home
If you want the quick solution you can splice a new piece of cable off the current switch and run it to your new location a few feet over. Then where the old switch was cover the box with connections with a blank plate. You can run the cable to the side by cutting out your panelling to drill through...

RE: Electric
Usually they put the left side with lights all together, and the right side all together. The reason the kitchen works is because those are all required to be dedicated circuits. If you lost power to all your circuits it could be a faulty breaker. Just cause it's turned on doesn't mean it's good. Or...

Thanks for the reply. I will have to look into the book and order it up one of these days. I also wasn;t thinking of the transition form vaulted to flat. There is half a wall at this point now...the division between bathroom and closet. The other half is wide open entry to the kitchen. I'll have to ...

New Min Home - Tons of questions
I recently purchased a 1992 16x72 mini home. It's not finished very well...previous owners didn't have a clue. Paint job covers floor and switches, etc... Hardwood floor scratched to death from all the cats. Toilet leaked and rotted floor, so I had to reinstall toilet and wedge it cause it's 1/2 inc...
