Sewage leak

Recently while investigating an odor I discovered that the main sewer line had pulled loose from where it attaches to the main drain on the mobile Home. The installer had not glued it, only pushed them together. I did the repair and fixed it correctly. There was quite a big area under the home that ...

RE: Installing "floating" Laminate Flooring

Thanks very much for all the information!! I checked with the manufacturer of the laminate and according to them the difference in thickness between the bare sub floor and the vinyl was within allowable tolerances so that took care of that, when all else fails, read the instructions I guess!! I had ...

Installing "floating" Laminate Flooring

I have a '88' Redman MH with the usual Carpet/sheet vinyl floor covering. I plan on installing a floating wood laminate in the near future. I will be doing this in stages as I can afford to pay cash for the materials. My first stage will be the living room and kitchen. I plan on doing these as one a...

RE: Repair Manual

I need to update this post. I made the statement in my post previously that the order form was difficult to read, I have since found that I had a corrupt driver for my computer video card, after replacing it, I "can see clearly now". So I want to clear the record, there was NEVER anything ...

RE: water in master bath heat duct

Is it possible that the water could have gotten there from the floor (i.e. spilled to floor from shower or sink and then "leaked" into the vent. If so it could have been there for quite awhile. You might try and moping it out using towel and then watch to see if it reoccurs.

RE: Installing Dishwasher

All, Just a quick update, I took the plunge and did the install myself. It really went pretty well. No major problems just the normal "fun" getting the drain, "P" traps etc figured out. The dishwasher works great, the cabinets look as if it had always been there and I am now look...

Installing Dishwasher

I own a 1988 Redman. We recently purchased a Kenmore full size diahwasher. There has never been a dishwasher installed in the home. Is this something that i should try to install myself. I have average to better than average DYI skills.
Thanks!
