RE: vapour barrier
seeing that your from Canada and not the southern states If your going to install a vapor barrier it must go at the top of the floor joists above the insulation ( warm side ) and if you don't remove all the mold in your floors whether it be plywood/ particle board floor or floor joists it will conti...

RE: Types of skirting
I agree with JD. the painted corrugated metal roofing panels are available in a wide choice of colors , are extremely durable outlasting wood or vinyl skirting and are fairly inexpensive compared to the other options.

RE: Rain Gutters
My suggestion does not involve removing any screws or gutters big & small. The gutters can be left as is and the flashing can be applied. Please refer too Troysters photo album too see what I mean . You cannot see the original mini gutters as they are under the flashing. This is the same princip...

RE: Rain Gutters
Hi Phaedrus. What I did when I installed my gutters was I bent in half 12 inch aluminum coil stock (flashing) then ran it over roof & tucked inside of gutter. The flashing goes right over the stock "mini" gutters. I then screwed the flashing down to the roof after coating with polyuret...

RE: Residing home
have you considered Fibre cement board siding-fibre cement board looks like wood but its actually a mixture of cement, sand and cellulose fibres. It can be expensive and hard to work with, but it won't rot, crack or burn, and it does a great job of keeping water away from the inside of your home. You d...

RE: transmission flush???
I like to alternate every 2 years - first year tranny flush -2 years later filter and fluid and so on back and forth. I'm a big believer in changing oil/filter(every 2/3 months)-tranny fluid/filter(every 2 years)-antifreeze/thermostat(every 2 years

yes JD some people definitely bring out our sinister side. As far as a block party goes I think the park tenants will do one better and hold a parade in front & back of their vehicle as they are being escorted out. I will be the grand marshal -lol

Hook it up to my neighbors place for the next time their hydro electric power is cut off. This will save them from plugging into my outside outlet.

RE: Dryer recommendations please
Yup Yanita, made in Benton Harbor, Michigan where they make the Whirlpools. My washer & dryer both say Roper by Whirlpool Corporation. They are basic lower end machines of Whirlpool that are constructed the same as top end machines minus all the bells & whistles. Rated at the top for reliabi...

RE: Dryer recommendations please
I bought a Roper washer & dryer for my wife Cheryl 5 years ago and not 1 problem in that time. These were the cheapest set of washer & dryers in town but when I seen a consumer report on washer & dryers I found out they are one of the most reliable. very basic machines that are built by ...

Sounds like the winners next too me Jim except this lazy bum can't hold a crack pipe and a grinder at the same time. just for fun I moved the trampoline out 6 feet then moved it back again to see if she noticed. She was instantly at my door asking me if I moved the trampoline and I said I had to mov...

RE: Neighbors
Unfortunately Yanita, the homes are only about 15 feet apart and each owner has their side. Ya I know 1 side only and the back & front is kinda silly. If I want to move her trampoline (which she put there just to tee me off) to work on my home, then I have to ask the crack smokin welfare case if...
