New tax on REGULAR soda, diet soda is HEALTHIER than regular, so the kids won't get as fat sitting on the couch playing their vidio games Actually, they're way off the mark...ALL soda pop is horrible for your health. Regular pop makes you fat, rots your teeth, and gives you osteoporosis--my mom, a ...

To answer the question several people were asking, it's very hard to keep our washer level. The floor in our MH isn't level, plus the washer is so powerful that, when we DO get it leveled, one load of laundry will throw it off-level again. To make matters worse, the washer and dryer are in such clo...

Absorption pads question (re: washing machine)
I'm thinking of getting the Absorption Pads for our washing machine, but first I want to make sure that they'll help our problem. We have a Sears Kenmore washer, built sometime in the 1990's. On the spin cycle, it shakes--HARD. I know nothing's wrong with the washer, because I have a friend who has ...

RE: Cold air blows through/around outlets when heat is on
Hi, Audie, and thanks for the reply!
Our MH is on a foundation, and nothing's been gnawed through. The problem with the cold air coming from the outlets is all over the house, not just in one place. Weird...

Fortunately, much of the paneling has already been painted over in our MH. However.... One bedroom, previously used by the former owner's young daughter, has periwinkle paint on two walls, and a flat pink that looks like calamine lotion on the other two. I like pink and purple as much as anybody, bu...

Cold air blows through/around outlets when heat is on
I already insulated the exterior outlets and wall switches, but Mom went to plug in a space heater today, and felt a cold draft coming from an INTERIOR outlet, while the furnace was running. Huh?!? I insulated it, but there's still a little coolness coming out. I plan to get some of those outlet plu...

Do you heat with gas, electric strips, or heat pump? Is your heat/ac unit a package unit(the whole system is located outside) or a split system where you have the air handler(furnace) located inside and a condenser outside? It's a gas furnace (Coleman). The air conditioner is outside, the furnace i...

You really should write a book titled 'the tales of an old fart'. You would have people laughing so hard they would be crying through the whole book. Excellent writer and story teller. I love reading your posts. I actually started laughing so hard during the kitty poo post that I could barely breat...

Ducts are making a LOT of noise lately!
I think I might have posted this question in the wrong forum, so I'll post a link to it unless/until a moderator can move it to the right place: http://mobilehomerepair.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=27284#27284 Is this problem related to the ducts not being fastened to the floor properly, or what? This ...

Here's what it sounds like is happening to me. When the furnace first starts, the booster motor comes on. That I can here. Once it brings the burner chamber up to pressure, it trips a pressure switch. This starts the lighting process of the burners. If the burners light and go right out, it'll try ...

Re: Having a problem getting answers
Myself and JD have received an email from Robert that he is sick. I also know that Robert has his own business as well. Between that and being sick maybe time is running short. Honestly I have no idea. I will send him and Mark an email direct them to this post and hopefully he can help you out. OMG...
