My day off, "handyman", and living in Green Acres
The "handyman" was supposed to come today to take up the old floor in the hallway and put in new floor. I wasn't happy already, because I said "plywood" and got some other type of flooring that is not plywood....it took him four hours to go from first picture to second picture. A...

Manual for furnace
Is there any way to get a manual on a Coleman Evcon Model # DGATO75BDD furnace? It is an electronic ignition natural gas furnace and I'm not even sure how the heck to turn it on.....
Thanks,
Sherry
Thanks,
Sherry

safety inspection notice Coleman Evcon furnaces
Hello, I saw the notice about a recall / safety inspection for certain Coleman Evcon furnaces, and mine is one of the model #'s listed, DGATO75BDD, but the notice says that it is for 70 to 75,000 btu units....mine says it is 61,000 btu's. Does that mean I don't have to worry about this? Thanks, Sherry

RE: Tub/shower..out with the old..in with the new..
Audie, There was nothing holding my panel in place...if you mean the piece that covered up that wood frame. And if you are taking it all out anyway, I'd just cut the wood frame, and then you won't have to struggle to lift that tub over that. I don't know if it's called a plumbers wrench, or what, bu...

RE: Tub/shower..out with the old..in with the new..
Also, what was holding my tub up was that pitiful stapeled together wood that had a panel over it....and wood pieces...kind of like what hold shelves up? Don't see how that really held up that heavy tub, but what do I know....except in the event of a tornado, I'm pretty sure the bathtub IS NOT where...

RE: Tub/shower..out with the old..in with the new..
http://mobilehomerepair.com/phpbb/userpix/3062_tub_1.jpg I don't have any ideas or anything about installing that shower, but I did take out my old green tub a couple of weeks ago - I took off the faucet handles and shower head and removed the tub surround....and was able to lift (well it was heavy...

RE: spongy floors
Thank you Yanita, that makes sense that water could have ruined the insulation where that leak was, in the hallway ceiling in front of the back door. That may explain my "sleeping dog"....the gal I am buying this mobile from has pink insulation, and plastic taped over that, covering that d...

RE: spongy floors
Thank you for your answers - I do plan to stay in this mobile home, so I sure don't want to create worse problems in the future by doing something the wrong way now....but it sure will take a long time to do it right! We have had some bad weather and alot of rain in my area of South Dakota recently ...

spongy floors
Hello - Ok, I got the manual for mobile home repair (great book that I'm sure I'm going to be referring to often!) and read about replacing old particle board flooring with plywood....but what if you don't want to just repair one area or one room, but want to do the whole floor in a mobile home? Ins...
