Sheet rock
I would like your opinion on the sheet rocking we plan to do in the entire home. Right now we have 1/4" vop. Is it alright to sheet rock directly on top of the paneling? And is it alright to hang regular thickness or do I have to go thinner due to the weight of the sheet rock?

Carpet rippeling
I have noticed in the past year that most of my carpets are starting to ripple in the house. The living room (we spend most of our time there) is the worst of all. The house is 7 years old. Do I just need it streached? Or should it all be replaced? Why does it do this? Any ideas are appreciated!

Chablis, I painted the kitchen recently and did not remove any battons. They paint up the same as the wall board did. I didn't use a primer, just cheap WalMart paint. And I know that probably isn't advisable, but so far so good. I don't have any peeling, it took one coat. Still looks really nice. Go...

Skirting
We have the white vinyl skirting. We really would like to change it in the spring. The skirting is always being pushed in by the dog or landscaping I have. What kind of skirting do you recommend? I need something that will also stand up to using a trimmer against it. Thanks!

Mokehillanne- I plan to use just plain tin sheets. We are farmer/ranchers. My husband has tons of tools and I plan to stencil them with wheat design and maybe our brand and punch it myself. I hope it works out well. I will be working on it this winter in the cold cold shop, so wish me luck. If it tu...

RE: Hanging items on my walls
Thanks so much for your info. I have used the plastic anchors in the wall (the toilet paper holder incident) and the anchors just putt right out after time. They were the red ones, but I think maybe the problem with those is that they don't "spread" behind the wallboard. Am I needing to ge...

Hanging items on my walls
Hello all....I have a question about the paneling or very thin wallboard I have in our home. We have the vinyl coated wallboard that is extremely thin. I am having a very difficult time hanging anything on them..Everything I try to use, I make huge holes. We even had to tear off the toilet paper hol...
