Re: Kitchen/bathroom plumbing issue
A trick i like is to try a shop vac and suck the water/clog up or bounce it enough to go thru. This does work half the time for me. Maybe worth a shot. you will have to block all the other drains on the line tho as the air will suck from them too.

Re: Blinking lights...and they are not supposed to!
I understand the forum rules and will be careful.
A faulty ground will not cause a blinking bulb. When the outlet/socket does this a multi-meter will explain everything.
And I agree, most likely a loose connection at the super cheapo outlets/switches in our mh's...

Re: Sometimes...it stinks
maybe your septic field/leech field is causing this?
maybe a small dead animal in your walls?crawl space? dried up p trap or a cracked drain line?
glad its gone whatever it was!

Re: Done with HVAC, going to window units!!!
i will assume the ductwork is flexing a bit from the air pressure thus making the noises... heres what id do: open the vents in other areas to lessen the air flow through your masterbdrm ducts. if thats a no go, id get under the mh and find the popping ductwork area(s) and self-tap an angle "L&...

Re: sewer water coming out of open sewer lines?
a trick ive used in the past is setup your shop vac for liquid pickup and stick the hose in the toilet 4" line. hopefully you dont have anything but grey water in there but thats something to try. then just plug up the drains that feed into this line to direct the suction to the clogged area...

Re: Consequences of an overflowing toilet...
was it a ton of water left to overflow? we had both toilets break on us before we bought our home cause of freezing and there was no damage from the water that sits in the toilet that was now on the floor. granted this may only be a gallon or so? also below our carpet in the bathroom was sheet linol...

Re: sewer water coming out of open sewer lines?

Re: Concrete Runners
As Greg said I would speak with your county dept/inspector/etc regarding foundation types, etc.. They will be very helpful I would guess as mine were. If that is not helpful I would consult a structural engineer. Just a note kailor, As I understand there are multiple types of foundations for our mh'...

autopsy...lol... cool project thanks for the pics. and just a couple pointers from me that are probably obvious. if that is the older poly lines and not pex now may be a great time to upgrade the plumbing. and id also check closely for any openings and seal everything up good now while its all apart...

Question to moderators
Is there a thread or section to share a pic or two of your mh? I couldn't find one from searching.
I think it would be cool to see everyone's setups and maybe get some ideas from the pics.. Just a thought.. Thanks.

Re: RADIANT FLOOR HEATING IN 14X76
Boilers can operate at different pressures/flow rates as based on design. The boiler's fill valve, if working correctly, will be fine with a filter. .. So a filter is important for exchanger and etc. lifespan on a well IMO. I would recommend watching filter condition and replacing as necessary..

Re: RADIANT FLOOR HEATING IN 14X76
I understand your filter needs but my question is why not filter all the water? The benefits of -filtered water and the boiler - will far outweigh the negatives IMO. Less deposits on the heat exchanger the better transfer rate thus less fuel used... Not to mention the pump blades/balance, etc... So ...

I'm with ya steve on that for sure. Lol.. The insulation in my mh is loose non faced fiberglass with the belly wrap as the moisture barrier which I assume is typical. I hate dealing with fiberglass insulation the most out of any project..

Re: Hi Newbie With Some Questions
I would suggest speaking with a real estate agent or following for sale ads in your area for awhile to get a feel of the current market. If you wouldn't mind spending some money you can always get an appraisal done. I would just be sure to speak with an appraiser that is familiar with mh's and the a...
