The blower motor runs continuously. I have to turn it off at the breaker. The heating unit kicks on and off at the correct temperature, but the blower never stops. It reads about 98 degrees at the floor vent fartherest from heater.... MODEL # EB12B

RE: Coleman Model # EB12B

Hi Robert, I replaced the limit switch L150-40F but it didn't seem to help but when I left the door off the furnace, it started to work. With the door off the furnace, I get about 110 degrees out of my floor register. The blower runs about 10-15 minutes and I have the thermostat set on 76 degrees an...

RE: Coleman Model # EB12B

I got it working for a little while. It was reading 110 degrees from my floor register in the living room. That's how it is suppose to be. Then I put the door back on and left the thermostat at 76 degrees. When the heater came back on, (same thing) only about 95-98 degrees coming from the register. ...

RE: Coleman Model # EB12B

The heater element is a 3500-412/A 46.7 amps 11.2 kw Can I replace with another one that will give more heat? I had someone check it and he told me it was doing all that it is suppose to do, but it's not keeping the house warm like it did when we first bought it. I still think it's the heating eleme...

RE: Coleman Model # EB12B

Thanks again Robert, I think you are right. It seems like it's still not heating like it is suppose to. We can make do with it for awhile if it don't get any worse. In the meantime, I will see if I can find someone with an amp meter. I can't afford the service calls right now. Maybe I will try to sa...

RE: Coleman Model # EB12B

Yes, to all of the above. Everything clean and got good air flow. I have checked the temp in the vent fartherest away from the heater. I am only getting about 99-100 degrees from the vent. I was told by a friend that it should be more than that. I don't have the tools to check the amps but I do have...

RE: Coleman Model # EB12B

Well, I just can't afford to get a professional to fix it. They charge $75 just to come out, plus whatever the parts and extra labor. So I changed the thermostat. It was gave to me by my son. It shuts the furnace off after about 8-10 minutes but it still does not seem to get hot enough. The heater c...
