Re: Air conditioner blowing warm air
Since it's the breaker on the pole just outside my house, should I contact my local heating and air guy, or someone from the local electric company?

Air conditioner blowing warm air
About once a week (sometimes more), we'll feel warm air coming out of the air conditioner and one of the breakers controlling the outside A/C unit has flipped off. What can I do too keep it from flipping off? It happened once last year, then once this spring, and now it's happening every week.

Re: Nordyne heat constantly kicks off
That sounds about right. Anyway, things have been hectic and I haven't had much chance to look at it, other than cleaning the filter. I'm suspecting the gas valve, since it burns until exactly when the blower kicks on. Of course there might be something wrong with the circuitry, but who knows. I'll ...

Re: Nordyne heat constantly kicks off
I'll check that, but I've had nothing but problems with this unit since it was new 5 years ago. One note about the pilot. I was watching this through the small flip cover at the front. I do have an electronic ignition that lights a pilot light. The pilot light stays lit for about 10 seconds before f...

Nordyne heat constantly kicks off
M1MC 090A BW I have a Nordyne heater. Part of the time, the heater won't light apparently, because I notice it's not on and it has 4 blinnking red lights. Some of the time it lights and runs but the blower isn't working right. I"ve checked and the electronic ignition lights the pilot light. The...

antenna installation
Okay. I just got an HDTV, and I was going to install an outdoor antenna. I'm about 75-80 miles away(as the crow flies) from Nashville, TN (VHF) and Huntsville, AL (UHF), so I have to have a bigger outdoor unit I think. I've got one froma relative, but I'm a little unsure about how to proceed. For on...

Well, I had to leave work early Friday because my water pipes burst in several locations. While at home this weekend, I called a repairman friend who confirmed my suspicions. The booster motor went out when the glue strip stopped the fan blade. There are no marks on the outside, but something got me...

RE: Nordyne-Intertherm continuous flash
Well, it was worth a shot, but no go. Looks like it's time to call the repairman.

RE: Nordyne-Intertherm continuous flash
Well, I have good news and bad news. First, there is no hum when I try to start the heat. I have checked and the fan and airconditioning settings al work fine. Since I couldn't find a problem with the pressure switch, I took apart the booster motor and found that a strip of glue came apart and lodge...

RE: Nordyne-Intertherm continuous flash
Okay. I'm an idiot. It isn't a continuous flash like I thought. I suspected that because it happened once before and I hadn't taken the panel off. It's actually two flashes. According to the panel, that means a pressure switch is open. I also know that if it was three flashes, that means the pressur...

RE: Nordyne-Intertherm continuous flash
It's a continuous blink. The panel says a continuous blink is a fault with the pilot light, which of course there is since there isn't a pilot light on.
