deck build for sister

How Ya all been?! Here's last weeks' deck build at Sis' house. My brother and I did the framing, decking, and, posts then sis helped me with the balusters. I built the bench so it can be easilly converted to storage inside later. There are some mistakes(clips show-post in middle of window-etc)here n th...

Happens all the time,if folks decide the game isn't for them then they just quit. IMO it's worth a try.

Good luck.

I agree with Greg S for the most part. Financial 1st,emotional 2nd.That said,I do have a nephew that is best when far far FAR away, pretty much all agree too, even his mom. Since I'm feeling kinda mischievious at the moment---Maybe see what happens with the future and if they move in and make You mise...

alltel(verizon) data speeds

If I dump My home ph line/ISP 2.5MB connection(same company)and My current cell service(diff company)I could possibly save $40-$50 a month by going to alltel/verizon for all 3 using the cell with My laptop, depending on any hidden costs of course. Also the laptop could be used on the road without wai...

Well topcat I hope You're right. The way laws get passed right n left these days makes a guy wonder though. I bought a GPS reciever for the laptop last year,it was cheap and worked well. The gov or automakers could buy in bulk and beat that price easy, same with the service I'll guess. Heck the gov ha...

Tobacco is in!

Finally! About a week late but oh well. Mary just left 15 minutes ago. We had some coffee then went to tilling and digging. Transplanted 83,kept about 10 or so for backups in case a few die in the ground, and, sent about 20 home with her. The whole process took only 4-5 hours, with breaks of course. Th...

The colemans from a few years back had a recall, they replaced My Sis's at 1 or 2 years old, said it had a crack that could let fumes into the forced air and kill her. If it is one of those it's better scrapped or fixed,by a pro of course. A small downdraft furnace could make a darn good garage/shop h...

Aaayyhngh,I'll go ahead and say it,,when I was a kid it was under 50c per gallon,,total cost! As a teen(70s)We could hop in a 6cyl 3-on-the-tree car and take a long gravel cruise real cheap. $5 for gas,$10 for beer, and at the time,we thought girls were free! Total US Fuel Taxes by State http://www.i...

Yeah, dunno where it all goes but You're right on the money Harry,no pun intended. It's bad enough they want to add more all the time but then they're secretive with the uses of it.The more the gov grows the more places to hide and waste I guess. I just think taxing and tracking everybody all in one ...

Consider switching gas tax to miles-driven tax, transportati

I've been under a big rock,am just learning of this crap now. Some politicians want to put GPS transponders in Your vehicles to report miles driven so they can tax them.Of course this won't work without the gov knowing where Your vehicles are 24/7,huh?,forget that! I'll get a dang 4-wheeler motorbik...

I don't see the panel weight being a problem. If they would make the snow drft up though that might give pause, and, does the installer also maintain the roof? or just the panels themselves?.What happens after the contract is done? Do they make good repairs where the mounts were? I'd wanna read the con...
