Re: river under home
If redoing the slab is out of the equation, will installing a curb or drain channel near the block help? A curb would rise and could be married to the slab somehow, maybe a keyway and sealer. A channel would require cutting into the concrete and have a grate on top, probably an expensive fix. As to sea...

Anybody got a hay rake?
I just rode the yard across the street,it had last year long dry grass *plus* the long new growth from this year, some of it 1' long. Today was it's 1st mowing in a loooong time! It was a little damp(I was "dry" ),especially in the longest grass, did some spinning on a rough hill but...

They could be blaming you cause you are the "new kid" and it's easy,or maybe there's a hidden troublemaker involved that is "feeding" the ones that are more vocal. Be patient,be aware, take it in stride till you get a better feel for them all. Perhaps above all things, trust your g...

Hi Bill, can't say I remember Ya but I may have been otherwise engaged trippin round the net 2 years ago, welcome back anyhow. Used to hear coyotes travel past here but lately it's just been a few neighborhood cats roaming(I don't mind them)or cuddling up on my rider seat, and, the squirrel that jumps f...

Re: Best Caulk for Sealing Exterior Seams??
I would use an acrylic/silicone blend that is also paintable and rated for outdoor use. Whatever you do don't use some $1 per tube "painter's caulk",that stuff is usually just a cheap latex that dries hard and cracks 1st chance it gets. Seems like every year they come up with something bet...

Re: wireing diagram
I couldn't find a service manual for that #,all I could find was a site selling an on/off switch when I copy/pasted the # you gave. http://www.comfortgurus.com/product_info.php/products_id/3337 Scroll down, your # is there. I bet there's a pretty tight control on availability of service manuals and w...

Re: Junk price
No man,I think you misunderstood,or I wrote it out wrong maybe..After I took the parts I wanted to keep I still **received** $308,,I didn't have to pay $308.. It's a good time to sell to the junkyard around here at least,,,I don't know for sure if the price will keep rising or for how long,,when the...

Junk price
I took my old 1991 Oldsmobile Regency Elite to the junkyard yesterday, there were just too many problems to stick the $$s in to fix it. After I took the aluminum wheels with my new tires and my new battery off(they deducted by weight)I still got $308..They said "junk price is $180 per ton for ca...

Re: Rock Bottom Water Bill
Well done! I use a low flow shower head,I forget exactly the gpm. Even though I live alone I don't like to waste. Plus I am set up where it is safe enough to leave water dripping (**not** recommended here on MHR ) in the coldest of weather so I want to offset the waste from that any way I can. If th...

Re: How far can I set my home back from septic tanks?
I'm no expert but I think any minimum you run into would be is if it was too close to the house. Such as "it has to be x-amount of feet away".. Septic tanks require a leech field surrounding them wich take some area too. I would think that as long as there is a decent fall(angle)for the pi...
