Re: Flush mount window style. What style should I replace wi

Re: Should Drywall Be Glued Up?
I need to add that I am also blocking the bottom of the walls with 2x4's. I found that the extra 1/2 of floor that I added doesn't line up with the bottom of the wall anymore. Yea I have 4 pieces of drywall installed. I can live with that but the rest wont be like that. 1) I wonder if I should block...

Re: Flush mount window style. What style should I replace wi
Thanks guy for the answers! Can you answer another question? With the corrugated way the aluminum panels are made. (think wavy) 1) How much putty tape should be used? This stuff is like 1/8 inch thick. (it's really thin) Should I go around the fin of the window twice? Meaning to stack it over top of...

Flush mount window style. What style should I replace with?
I have an older mobile home. This home has 2x3 stud walls. I have 1x2 furrow strips all the way around the home that are horizontal three times. They go around the top twice for the most part. One row about 8 inches down from the ceiling. The second row is then 15 inches below that. Then I have one ...

Water heater relief valve?
I have a brand new 40 gal rheem water heater that I am installing in a few days. Anyway the drain pan for the heater has the standard pipe that connects to the outside edge. This in turn drains thru the floor or wall of your choice in case of a leaking unit / failure. Now in the bottom of the new dr...

Re: Should I glue up all the drywall? What about tape and fi
We went with R13 in the walls with the paper backing. The edges of the insulation had paper ears that folded out. So we stapled them in place and covered the bathroom with 1/2 green rock. This made glue a no go for us. I have a drywall guy next door that's going to finish all the new rock in each ro...

Should siding be sealed? Light shows all the way around.
http://www.mrrepairs.net/mh/10-06-13/DSCN5943.JPG Here is a picture of what i am talking about. It's not the greatest picture and I am sure there are better pictures in one of the folders on my site.
