How to Add Overhang for gutters and soffit to mobile Home?
I have a single wide 76x14. It has the factory tin slightly gable roof and V gutters with zero overhang. We are going install anew roof to it next spring and I'm trying to plan for the overhand. Not sure of the best size but I'm thinking a 12" overhang on the sides and a 6" on the ends. Is...

Permanent Foundation vs. Addiontial Perimeter Blocking
Very basic question about adding perimeter blocking to a single wide. Does this mean to add concrete stacked blocks, like a wall, under the edge? Or does this mean to add additional pier supports under the edge, like the existing center support piers? I see discussions that talk about "ADDITION...

Discussion on Mobile Home Piers & Tie-Downs
I apologize in advance for the length and volume of questions here, but those involved here are pretty anal about getting things right from the get-go. 1989 Single Wide Mobile Home (64' x 14') complete rehab and overhaul down to the bones. I've researched and read everything I can find on this subje...

Thank-you ever so much! You replied so very quickly and I didn't have notifications turned on. My apologies for my delay in responding. You are absolutely spot on with the suggestion on leveling. Funny thing.... I was putting up some storage shelves in a closet yesterday. The shelves were directly p...

Re: Replacing old Poly stuff with PEX, have ?
yes... replacing everything. The old is brittle and has broken off when simply moved to look at something in 2 different places. The underbelly and floors are pretty open. So it all coming out. Shutoff valves already in plan.

Replacing old Poly stuff with PEX, have ?
We are replacing the old polybutalane with PEX . The original installation is such: Hot water tank and main supply line come in at 1 end of the 70' trailer. It has a main run down the middle with supplies branching off for all the fixtures. Currently the main line drops down to 1/2" shortly aft...

extending the main duct trunkline
The main trunk line runs the whole length of the mobile home and due to some remodeling, I wanted to move a floor register in the back bedroom to the end of the line. After having some flooring up and looking as best we could we decided the line did extend the whole length of the trailer. So we dete...

Re: What is the meter mounted on the mobile home???
comments.... Don't know if they are working... just got it haven't had the electric turned on yet. I know who the previous owners were. No solar no wind, trust me no selling back to the power company. That's all out. Duke Energy owns the lake and all the power plants here on the lake. They have been...

What is the meter mounted on the mobile home???
Forgive me if this seems life a dumb question but.... I just purchased an older mobile home (a fixer-upper) I have what appears to be 2 electric meters. 1 electric meter that is mounted on a post about 4 feet from the house. I am pretty sure this actually belongs to the electric company and is the o...
