Replacing stove vent
I want to replace the vent over my stove with one that is self contained. The one I have now vents outside and take up a lot of room above it. I am aware that I will have to patch the outside wall but is it possible? I am not sure if there is some special regulations for MH that I am not aware of. I...

Replacing a tub enclosure with a full size shower enclosure
I am interested in replacing my tub enclosure and putting in a full size shower enclosure that has a bench in it. Because of arthritis I can not get down into a tub and with a full size shower at least I would be able to sit and enjoy the water . Also it would be less chance in falling again.

Building Low Rise Steps
I am wanting to build low rise steps on my house but I can not find any plans for them. Because of the way my deck is to my driveway I will probably have to make them in a L-shape. I have seen them on different homes around my area but I need help with plans for building them.

RE: Skirting problems
She does have a couple of sunken areas in the back of my house where there is just sand. The funny thing is she does not bother the skirting in these areas. It is the spots on the grass that she pushes the skirt in knocking it out of the bottom track and laying where ever she likes.

RE: Kitchen backsplash ideas
There is new backsplash material that looks like old metal tin tiles. They come in a few finishes and are lite weight and really not expensive. You can find them at both Home Depot and Lowes.

RE: Ceiling fan installation
How do I find out what the size of the trusses are? The only thing I know about the studs in my house is that the door jam is 6" instead of the standard 4". When I bought the house the door jam was craked and I replaced it. I had a hard time finding a place that carried them.

Skirting problems
I need some ideas on how to keep my skirting in place on the bottom. My dog loves to lay up against the skirting and she pushes it in at the bottom. The bottom track stays in place but the vented panels push right out of her way. When she lays down she takes out a section about 8-10 feet. She is a 1...

Ceiling fan installation
I need some information on installing ceiling fans in my home. There is currently overhead ceiling mounted lights were I want to put the fans. What I do not know is what the distance between studs are in Fleetwood homes and if the ceiling will hold the weight of the fan. My house is a 1998 Brookfield.
