RE: Daylight Savings Time

Hi Moondog, I can only imagine the mess of taking care of servers! LOL, I'm waiting for the papers to be signed to sell my company! We've been in negotiations for 2 months now. I'm hoping for next week! Hey Bill, I'm not sure why it changed your clock twice! Change it manually, and then keep an eye ...

RE: Dancing With the Stars

I haven't had much time to pay attention this year. I thought that we had another week to go, very well could be wrong there LOL! I've got lots of TV's, and at least 2 are going, but I really seldom pay attention to they say, or what's going on. I did hear that one of the original dancers quit. All ...

RE: took 10 years to ask this...

Just my 2 cents here....

I've never seen a stick built or a mobile that had cathedral ceilings throughout the home. Most cathedral ceilings are located in the living area and master suite.

I don't know the reason, but I guess that it's more cost efficient!

RE: Daylight Savings Time

Got a pleasant surprise today! All computers, except youngest son's updated right on time!

The rest will change in 3 weeks. Until then, I'll go real old school and use a watch! I don't tape or TiVo anything, so it works for me! I do have to change the clock in my truck though!

RE: Daylight Savings Time

Thanks Yanita! I meant to get on the computer earlier today! It's Saturday, and that belongs to bridzillas this time of year! Yes Bill, that is the big question down here in the states right now! How many clocks to we over ride with the new time change? We've all got so many devises that use clocks ...

RE: anyone use Congoleum flooring?

I have to agree with JD, Greg and Yanita! Personally, I love sheet vinyl! Especially in kitchens and baths. Yes, Congoleum, Mannigton and Armstrong are the high end there! I've had them all over the years. Very pleased with each! Like Yanita said, in our homes, you have to take into consideration th...

Hi Dakota and hubby! Welcome to the forum, and family!

Ditto what everyone else has mentioned, especially Yanita!

It's basically been my mantra for years here! Solid structure first, pretty later! All structural upgrades are first and foremost! You can make everything pretty over time.

RE: Hot Water Heater/Water Breaker

I have to jump in here and put my 2 cents in.

When it comes to electrical or gas repairs, and you don't have thorough knowledge, then it's best to call a pro!

Not all of our problems are DIY projects.

RE: Park Living PRO's & CON's

Hi Scottman, Your Father in Law was correct, fences do make good neighbors! We have wire fences out here, for the most part. I would really love to put up a 6 foot fence around our home! But, it's not something I can do myself, neighbors wouldn't chip in, so it wouldn't be cost effective either. I'd...

RE: first mobile home, help!

I'd bring it to the parks attention first. As they really are responsible for the tank, and the lot. It shouldn't be pooling that bad. If it's undermining the homes set up, you need to find a solution. You can always install a French drain around the home, and take the water into the sewer line or t...

LOL Troyster, Own the place, but still deal with yapping dogs almost daily. The dogs have been fairly quiet the last few days though :D Yep, had a crack house in back of us for the last 2 years. Cops were over there because I called regularly. Fights, child neglect and all that give stuff. They're g...

RE: FEMA mobile homes for sale

Very interesting article to say the least! Personally, I don't understand why these can't be stored around the country for FEMA to use at later dates. Why do we have to purchase brand new homes for the next disaster? Sorry, but this throw away world that we live in just grates on my nerves... big ti...

RE: Park Living PRO's & CON's

I think a lot has to do with the person! I lived in several apartments after moving out of my parents house... years and years ago! But I hated each one. I lived in 3 or 4 mobile parks, and I hated them! Now, the reason that I didn't like them was simple. I was raised on a ranch where I had acres be...

RE: Hanging plants

Hi JD,

I've heard of them but never used them!

I bet if I hit the garden shops up here now, I can find them! I might try to take the time to pick some up this week, so I do have them!

Any product that means I don't have to water as much is well worth it to me!
