RE: Questions about buying a repo
Hi Challa, Hmmm, with no power, so many things could be wrong that you won't see until the lights are on! Your going to have to pray that ALL appliances work! Even gas appliances most often use electricity for the pilot light. Not sure if all is included, but, washer, dryer, fridge, range, disposer,...

RE: first mobile home, help!
Hi there and welcome to the forum! First, I'd have to ask whether you rent the lot or own it? That would be the bottom line as to whether it's the park's responsibility, well that and your lease, rental or purchase agreement. Whichever the case may be. I'd also check another thing. How is the land a...

Oh yeah, punch holes large enough for the ants to get in around the bottom of the tub! This makes it kid and animal friendly! Just make sure that you tell the grandkids not to play with it.

Hi Challa, If you just gave this guy $1500 without signing anything, it looks like the home is yours. That depends on the laws in your area. It sounds to me like you bought it 'as is'. With out paperwork, I'm not sure that you will have any legal recourse. One word of caution, if you haven't paid th...

Well Hello Neighbor! I think this is the first time in all the years I've been on the board that someone has posted from Reno! Hi John, I live in Sun Valley, fondly referred to as Slum Valley. Right over one of the Northern hills from you! I love living out in the county!!! Wouldn't trade it for any...

Hi Ray, I ran into the same problem in the master bath a few years ago when we had our toilets replaced. The idiot that had the home before us installed wall to wall carpeting in the master bath. Hubby loves it in the Winter, and I just haven't gotten around to that room at all really. I've got that...

RE: Recessed Lights
Hello,
One word of caution, if this is an early 70's mobile, you may run into aluminum wiring. This doesn't mean huge problems, but it may mean that you will want to change the lighting you use.
One very easy option is the method that hvac mentioned.

RE: preventing condensation under new metal roof....2nd try.
Hi cre8vmynd, I'll give this a second try also! Like I said, we have the same type of roof, but it was professionally installed. We've never had a condensation problem, but then we live in a real dry area. I'll ask again, do you live in a very humid area? I'm sure that one of the pros will be around...

Please be patient while I add folks to my friends list and such! I'm learning the new board like everyone else! I just don't have much time to spend right at the moment. I'm selling one business, and going full force into wedding season right now in the floral business. Spare time is more than a lux...

Hey Sylvia! Small world! I'm only about 30 miles from Tahoe Vista! I lived at North Tahoe many years ago, on the Nevada side, Crystal Bay. I'm up there all the time for weddings all over the lake, both the Nevada side and the Cali side. The North side of the lake is still my very favorite. I like th...

The floor repair alone would make me walk away from it!
If you hire it out, it's gonna cost about as much as the home. If you do it yourself, it's very labor intense!
Like the other's said, in my area, you'd have to practically give this home away!

Hi Greg,
Yeah, I've heard about it also! Haven't heard anyone that's used it yet. It's one of those things that only time will tell.
But yeah, it's suppose to reduce water damage and mold.
