If you don't replace a whole side of the home at once, I think you would have issues with different widths of materials and styles of corrugation sealing together.

I wouldn't think you would have an issue, providing that the window is properly framed, and you are not trying to install a large picture window. I could see a large window having issues with flexing. It sounds more like they didn't want to do the work.

I have the architectural on mine. At the time, there was little difference in materials cost, and the architectural had a significantly longer warranty.

Many years ago, we had a similar situation. I could not figure out how to remove the pane either.

You are going to want new belly wrap also, attached below the fiberglass. Ysing just the fiberglass will leave lots of spaces for drafts and critters.

Color makes a huge difference if you are in full sun. I have a shingled roof, and there was a very noticeable difference even going from dark brown to light brown.

Remove the hex head screws and replace with flat head. I'm pretty sure I used drywall screws.
I had no problem nailing mine on, but the construction adhesive would work fine also.
