Thanks Robert, that makes sense now.

Re: Coleman Evcon DGAT070BDC please help

I see you did mention some parts have been replaced. What make/model of t-stat was installed?

Re: Coleman Evcon DGAT070BDC please help

If it is maintaining the temperature setpoint as you stated, there may not be a problem. It is in the 20s here in Michigan and my furnace is running every 20 minutes for 10 minutes. Has anything been repaired/replaced? What kind of a cycle time did you have before?

Re: Colman Evcon DGAT070BDD Blows Cold

Ok, I think I'm a little clearer on what's happening - thanks. As I mentioned earlier, the only thing I see on my same model furnace (only smaller) that controls the blower is the control board. There is no fan-limit that I see on the furnace or the schematic diagram that would cycle the blower moto...

Re: Colman Evcon DGAT070BDD Blows Cold

First you said the blower was short cycling and blowing cold air. Now you say there is residual heat that you want to circulate. I'm not sure what the condition is that you want corrected. Maybe Robert can better understand what is going on.

Perhaps you paid for a gas valve you didn't need.

Re: low flame

Look for a spider sac behind the orifice on the gas valve. This complaint is mentioned here many times and that is usually the problem.

Re: Colman Evcon DGAT070BDD Blows Cold

No. R to R will give you a constant 24V to the condensing unit. Since you mentioned changing out the t-stat, make sure you did not install one designed for a heat pump. What make/model t-stat is it? Also read the instructions to see if there are any switches that need to be reset for gas heat cyclin...

Re: Help locating where limit switch is located

Apparently Greg is having a problem posting. All his posts read the same. As far as I can tell, this is the heating section. You should have no problem locating and identifying the limits. Just be sure to replace them like for like. Look for any difference in the physical appearance of each switch o...

Re: Colman Evcon DGAT070BDD Blows Cold

chasvez, Normal color coding for t-stat wiring is: R - red wire - 24V feed from furnace transformer. W - white wire - on a call for heat, 24V is switched from R to W, and to W on furnace control board. Y - yellow wire - on a call for cooling, 24V is switched from R to Y, and to furnace control board...

Re: Coleman presidential model 7663

I am with furnaceman about the reason for needing a new xformer. If you haven't already, I would check for 120V on the primary side and 24V on the secondary side of the xformer. If you do not have 120V on the primary, problem lies in the power source. If no 24V on the secondary, bad xformer. It is a...

Re: Coleman DGAT070BDC

Changing out parts and hoping they eventually correct the problem should not be how a licensed, reputable company goes about doing business. I would be on their a__ big time for a refund of at least some of what you have paid them. You have paid them to repair your furnace, not to guess. Check to se...

Re: Coleman pres II furnace/thermostat issue?

John,

It would have helped if you had mentioned earlier that it was only the blower that was short cycling but no heat. You first said that the furnace wouldn't stay on. Big difference.

I hope you are not paying a technician to come to your home and tell you what is "probably" the problem.

Re: Coleman pres II furnace/thermostat issue?

So...the heat has not cycled properly at all since you replaced the t-stat, is that correct? Coincidental for sure. The RTH111B is not designed for a heat pump application. If you had a heat pump the outdoor unit would run during the heating cycle as well as the cooling cycle. As you did with the Hu...
