Re: ac runs non stop
Also when they came and cleaning the inside coil( it had to be taken completely out to clean it). They did not clean the unit outside of the house. If I cleaned that would it help with the airflow?

Re: sill plate/board
Here was a class action suit filed. Only problem is that you had to file by like 2001 or something to receive any compensation for the siding (anybody correct me if im wrong on that). Now what siding to you recommend? Cheapest/ easiest. And my question still hasn't been answered about how to go abou...

ac runs non stop
I have a singlewide mobile home. I just had my ac completely serviced/ cleaned. We have a lot better air flow now to both side of the house. But my problem is that the side of the house with the living room and master bedroom stays warmer, which is where the thermostat is. The other side of the hous...

Re: sill plate/board
And just so you know I have changed the water heater and the floor had been replaced in the closet at some point. The bathroom located next to the water heater also has some water damage along the bottom of the wall so that also leads me to believe the water heater just may be the culprit.

Re: sill plate/board
The majority of the damage is under and around the water heater door on the north side of the house. Possibly at some point water heater was leaking and went unnoticed, home was vacant for a period of about 5 years so this is possible. If there is more damage then I can see, what do you think is my ...

sill plate/board
I have noticed on the front of my mobile home that the sill plate looks to be damaged from rot or whatever. Looks like water got under the skirting and into the nails. I have masonite siding and the bottom of it is also rotted. Is there an easier fix for this? I have already considered tearing off t...

Re: roof leaking
I was using just regular silicone caulking. Would the dealer for duct work work for sealing the roof? I know it may not but that is what I have on hand currently and it would be easier if it would. Is there no way to just replace the rubber gasket on the pipe?

I am having a problem with my roof leaking in spots. It seems to be happening around the roof vents for the plumbing. I have a metal roof placed over shingles. The rubber around the pipes of worn and cracking, I have tried caulking it to try to fix it but it hasn't seemed to hold up. Any suggestions...

Re: have to replace my unit
So I had someone come look at my furnace the other day and he said since the mold buildup was on it that that was causing the condensation to run to the outside of the drain pan instead of going into it. I know the drain is working because I have been under my house while the ac was on and there was...

Re: have to replace my unit
For the trane system the warranty covers labor for 1 year, certain parts for 5 years, and 10 year on the compressor. I just had another company come out and bid and he said that I probably wont be any better off going with a heat pump. I know how a heat pump works and I still think I would be better...

Re: have to replace my unit
Thank you for your input. One company came and said it would be 6300 for the install and that covers everything; the electrical, the ductwork ( which they use solid not the flex stuff), and of course installing the unit. The unit would be a trane 3 ton ac with heat pump packaged unit. Everyone says ...

Okay, I have a coleman presidential II furnace with split ac. The outside until is trane until I am not sure of the model on that. Two weeks age we had our ac on and it was working perfectly, nice and cold. We had a recent cold snap so I had to switch back over to heat. Now to change back and forth ...
