I know this is on a small scale but I've had a cooler/heater that runs on 12V for years. I thought it was a Koolatron but the name says Coolmaster CH-12. Can't find any info but the Koolatron site has newer models that draw 3-4.5 Amps. 12V. Only moving part in mine is a small fan. I used it in my ca...

You can't stop it, only show it down with insulation so here is what i suggest, since thats the case why not figure out some way to put it to work, I know although expensive there are pelter divices that use that, and that could generate electricity, I had one came in an igloo picnic cooler, but i a...

My babbling in the previous post gets me to thinking about a heat pump inside the house. Generally, a heat pump works by removing the heat from the outside air and bringing it inside the home. OK, instead of removing a little heat from already cold outside air, why not simply remove the cold from th...

Heat seeks cold
I keep scratching my head, looking for a more efficient way to heat. I keep referring to that simple formula -- heat seeks cold. Basically that means that during the winter, the cold weather has no desire to come in your warm home. Instead, the heat in your home has a great desire to get out into th...

Hi Gram, Thank you so much! This software was given as a gift to me a few years ago. That was before we painted our home! I have to agree, it's very cool! We ended up choosing the best color for us.... and all of our neighbors! We had raves from neighbors for many months after we painted our home. T...

Software shows what house looks like if painted.
Hi guys. Just wanted to let you all know that I purchased the Better Homes & Gardens Picture Painter software and it is amazing! We've been trying to decide what color of siding to put on in the Spring, and this has helped us really envision what it will look like. You can use your own pictures ...

We made sure when we painted our kids room that it was at least semigloss. It's a lilac color so any colorloss I would notice. My 3 year old took a crayon black red and orange and scribbled on everything. I used the magic eraser. It took all the crayon off. I keep a few of the magic erasers around a...

Yep, budding artists require primer and then a scrub-able paint on top of the vinyl! Nothing gets rid of a red pigment in anything, other than bleach.. or primer and paint! Someone mentioned WD-40. I just have to share this new found use. It can clean and shine stainless steel, like nothing else!!! ...

Yes, you can see it very clearly...unfortunately bleach products can not be used safely on all surfaces. Just a caution on using these on your appliances as well,if you have an electric range and you get bleach on the contacts it can corrode them and cause your burners to not work. If you have a sto...
