If that is what you were told I guess that is what it is. There is no rule for an exact temperature change over. Most are adjustable. Heat pumps will still put out heat down to zero but the cop falls off. I usually set the ones in this area to cut off at 20 to 25 degrees depending upon the system br...

IF Pilot is remaining lit, Thermocouple is fine. Blower motor coming on verifies main voltage (120vac) and low voltage (24vac). That also verifies the transformer. IF your GV is getting 24-28vac, check burner orifice, burner tube for blockage (spider). If all clear, need to have gas pressure checked...

Are you getting 24-28vac at the Gas Valve terminals ?

Did this just suddenly happen ? was it working fine up to this point ?

Coleman furnace model # 7956-856

Our furnace pilot is on, fan works, thermocouple was replaced at beginning of heating season this year but the furnace won't come on. The thermostat clicks but the furnace doesn't fire. The fan runs when the thermostat is switched to fan only. Any suggestions?

Your furnace could be in the purge mode or you do not have the correct air flow and the unit is going off and on because of a safety control. You could also have a intermittent centrifugal switch in the combustion air blower. If the combustion air is being taken from under the home make sure nothing...

nordyne cmf 80 problem

My furnace seems to work fine except for the fact that the electronic ignitor kicks on and off before and during blower motor is running. I replaced the ignitor and the control module box. Any help with this? Also, the fan limiter switch has a round dial with three little set prongs..numbers listed ...

Sounds like some of the glunk/junk was left in the heater tank. This in turn attached itself to the wick and now the glunk/junk will not allow the wick to take any more oil up from the tank.

Went thru as advised and did a complete diag on everything again twice & decided to replace the counter chip (because of the inconsistent timing for the GV & IM)(installed a socket then popped in a chip),relay supplying 120 VAC & NEUTRAL to the HSI and a thermistor on input to the Igniti...

Hi Monty, You would need to test all at time it doesn't work to determine what is not functioning properly. Not sure about Gas Co., wouldn't hurt to call and see. When it malfunctions test for those design values I previously posted. See if GV is getting the 24-28vac. Going to be difficult to pinpoi...
