Heat pumps will still put out heat down to zero but the cop falls off. I usually set the ones in this area to cut off at 20 to 25 degrees depending upon the system br...

IF Pilot is remaining lit, Thermocouple is fine. Blower motor coming on verifies main voltage (120vac) and low voltage (24vac). That also verifies the transformer. IF your GV is getting 24-28vac, check burner orifice, burner tube for blockage (spider). If all clear, need to have gas pressure checked...

Coleman furnace model # 7956-856
Our furnace pilot is on, fan works, thermocouple was replaced at beginning of heating season this year but the furnace won't come on. The thermostat clicks but the furnace doesn't fire. The fan runs when the thermostat is switched to fan only. Any suggestions?

Your furnace could be in the purge mode or you do not have the correct air flow and the unit is going off and on because of a safety control. You could also have a intermittent centrifugal switch in the combustion air blower. If the combustion air is being taken from under the home make sure nothing...

Hi Monty, You would need to test all at time it doesn't work to determine what is not functioning properly. Not sure about Gas Co., wouldn't hurt to call and see. When it malfunctions test for those design values I previously posted. See if GV is getting the 24-28vac. Going to be difficult to pinpoi...
