That is a good possibility I worry about CO poisoning so much. According to the serial number/model number since the last letter is a A yours might be older than the recall. Did you look at this wiring diagram on this page below the relay? Location http://www.mobilehomerepair.com/ColemanGas.html Lef...

RE: evcon furnace with motor constantly running

Have you had your heat exchanger checked yet? This is more important than the relay right now. They will replace the defective heat X for free. It is better that the unit not run until it is made safe. Sometimes they have to order the heat X so I would call them right away.

The ground fault is defective. It is on your side of the utility so you will have to replace it. Replace with ground fault not regular outlet. if it is a leviton brand they are known to go bad. If not comfortable working with electric have someone fix it for you.

RE: Coleman, Nordyne, or Intertherm?

I agree replace the coil. Just make sure you get the correct one that will work. It would be best to contact Robert about the coil to make sure you get one of the correct SEER.

RE: Intertherm Furnace Blower Wont Shut OFF

((I removed the limit switch from the top of the furnace by the blower and pressed on it and it shut the blower off)) The limit switch you pushed on is a safety that actually cuts off the voltage to the gas valve circuit. Or it could be a fan control. Usually if they are located in the top of the un...

RE: upgrade AC unit or clean old A coil

You have 840 square feet of space in your unit. A 2 ton/24,000 BTU unit should cover that space but you could always go to a 2 and 1/2 ton/30,000 BTU unit for extra cooling. Your unit may not be working up to its maximum efficiency because of dirty outdoor coil or dirty indoor coil. The unit may not...

RE: Intertherm Furnace Blower Wont Shut OFF

((I removed the limit switch from the top of the furnace by the blower and pressed on it and it shut the blower off. This to me seems backwards. )) Was there a red button in the center of the switch? Is that what you pushed? My system is wired so if the high limit makes the blower comes on and will ...

RE: Package Unit vs Split System

Goodman and other brands are available with different fuel combinations. Electric A/C with gas heat (natural or propane) and Electric A/C with electric heat. There are also packaged heat pumps but they are a major pain to work on due to space limitations of the assembly.

Flex dryer duct is OK to use as long as it is labeled UL-151. This is a flame safety/ combustion rate that UL has designated as safe for use in residential homes of all types. This is not the white vinyl duct that has been used over the years. The white vinyl duct is not approved for any dryer conne...

RE: Mobile Home Fireplace

I just figured it was a gas one. All the factory fireplaces around here are gas. Scratch what you were told before about gas. You can just remove the unit and patch the hole in the roof. There are many ways to patch a hole in the roof. usually most homes around here are of a metal roof construction....

RE: Mobile Home Fireplace

Sure you can take it out. Make sure you terminate the propane or natural gas connections properly and I do not mean burring them in the wall space. The lines have to be removed from the interior of the home. It could be as easy as getting under the home and disconnecting the gas line off the tee and...

Glad you got it going. If it happens again you may check the wiring in the outside disconnect for tightness after you turn the breaker off in the home. This way there will be no electric going to the outside A/C disconnect when you are checking the wires.

RE: Newbie Nordyne Intertherm E2EB ducting question

Looks like the manufacturer designed the home to use both gas or electric heat. It could be that the duct you are seeing was to be used as combustion air on a gas type furnace but is not since you have a electric one. I figure it is bringing air from the attic space of the home down to the furnace. ...

RE: Coleman furnace making rattling sound

There could be a few different causes. Turn of power to the furnace. Disconnect electric to the blower. Remove blower and report back as to your findings. Could be a broken motor mount, motor itself, bad blower wheel.

BTW the blower does slide out after removing the small screws.

If you could post a picture of exactly what you are talking about it would be of great help.
