RE: evcon outside fan motor
I would check your fuses/breaker outside in the disconnect. Then I would check the breaker in your electric panel on the inside of your home. Report back with your findings.

Test the thermostat by disconnecting one of the thermostat wires after the unit shuts down. If it still trys to run after that it is in the furnace circuitry. If it does not try to run it is the thermostat. Many DouTherm parts are hard to come by an might have to be substituted for something else th...

Sounds like you have a short in the low voltage wiring. The transformer should be warm but not hot. I would check the low voltage wiring for any shorts or where it has rubbed thru.

Did you check to make sure the drain line is not plugged up? I would check that first.

RE: Duo Therm electric furnace won't shut off
As long as the screw base is the same a 5 will work. It is within or close to the 10% rule. Watch the base of that fuse. There are two types on is Edison and the other is a smaller version designed not to allow over fuseing. The sequencers are a question I will leave for Robert. He has more experien...

RE: Duo Therm electric furnace won't shut off
Replace the fuse with like same OR look on the wiring diagram to see exactly what fuse it takes. The sequencers you have are the old style White Rodgers and they can be converted to the new style stack type. The White Rodgers sequencers are very expensive but they do hold up well. Mark has sequencer...

I had no idea what size home you had. You just stated the room size you said you needed to heat. I looked at the web site you provided a link for. This company has all the options listed for you. How much electric each heater takes The length of the heaters available They have 110 volt or 220 volt h...

Wow with that kind of construction I would get a engineer involved. You have a very heavy imposed load on top of that carport area. You are also going to have to free air the area where the car comes into the car port. You are going to spend $$$ for laminated beams or steel to swing that area free. ...

I just seen on lowes website they have a gas wall mounted vent free fireplace that is rated at 20k btu.. any chance that would keep this area warm? You have a 288 sq ft area to heat. Electric heat is electric heat. They are all 100% efficient so I would not go out and buy base board heaters because...

RE: Blower heating up when off
Sounds like your indoor a/c coil is freezing up. When it defrosts the water goes into the furnace and not out the drain as it is supposed to do. Check for a dirty air filter. If that is OK then you will need to have the unit serviced. Many times the coil will freeze up because the outside unit is un...

RE: evcon furnace with motor constantly running
There is a metal box half way up from the floor in front of the furnace, you have to remove the exterior door first to see the box. The relay is in there. There is a on off switch on the side or top of the box. DO NOT USE THAT SWITCH. TURN OFF THE ELECTRIC at the circuit breaker in your main circuit...
