Re: Tepid water running from cold water tap

Hi Greg, Thanks so much for the reply. I live in Illinois so yeah, we get cold winters. Still, we've had a very hot summer so I wondered if that might be the problem. Just worried it's something with the pipes. I'll check with the neighbors today. Here's the weird thing, though. Last night and very ...

Tepid water running from cold water tap

Hi all, This morning I noticed that the water coming from my cold water tap is tepid. Not hot, but certainly not cold. Warmish. I checked all the faucets and it's the same everywhere. I tried letting the cold tap run for ten to fifteen minutes and no change. To be honest, I don't know what kind of h...

Skirting/wood blocks

Hi all, I've got a 2004 Fairmont and posted before out of concern due to the leveling. I've got someone coming out next week to check it, but have also noticed another weirdness that I'm really curious about. Here's the deal: the skirting sits on top of long blocks of wood, which sounded nice at the...

Re: Leveling - should I be concerned?

Yes, it's me again.

I had read some of the threads but not all. After reading more I see that you mentioned a carpenter's level is not sufficient to measure a home. So I guess that answers my question. : (

Re: Leveling - should I be concerned?

Hi again, Have a bit of an update. A neighbor brought over his carpenter's level this morning and we measured a number of places inside (on counters, window sills and floors) and outside the home. Every measurement was normal. Does this mean my home is actually good for now and I just keep checking e...

Re: Leveling - should I be concerned?

Thanks so much for your reply. As I mentioned, a couple of people have looked and told me that my home is in no danger but I tend to be a worrier. I will get it checked out again in the near future, though.

Thanks again!

Leveling - should I be concerned?

A couple of months ago I noticed that there was quite of bit of soil that had eroded underneath my 16" by 80" 2004 mobile home. I had someone come out and was told that it was being caused by rain coming straight down and that I either needed gutters or to put lava rock underneath. I chose...
