Hello,
Could someone explain to me what might cause mold to grow on my windows? I'm attaching two photos, one of the window sill and one of the top of the sash where the locks are. The mold is also on the bottom sash where the lift rail is.This is a 2001 mobile home with double pane vinyl windows. There is no water intrusion from rain, so I don't quite understand where the mold is coming from. We do get a lot of fog though (San Francisco Bay area), and my windows do get a bit of condensation on the inside (but not on the window sill). The mold does not grow on the windows that are under the carport awning, but it does grow on the windows that are exposed.
Thank you for any input you guys may have.

Mold on window - cause?

Mold requires moisture to grow. You could try bleaching the surface or spray it with one of the mold killer sprays. I would try something as simple as a fan to keep air moving to help keep the surface dry.
