I sent my son to Menards the other day to get a door knob for my bedroom door. He was told by somebody there that they don't sell door knobs for mobile home doors, just regular door knobs. That sounded really dumb to me. But in my Google searching I came across a product made by Kwikset called a mobile home interior lock conversion kit (https://www.amazon.com/Kwikset-12003-Mo ... B000BCDI4M).
What in the heck is this all about? What is the difference between doors or door knobs that you can't use a regular door knob set in a mobile home door?
What's the difference between regular door knobs and mobile home door knobs?

I noticed this conversion ser is fir INTERIOR doors so it probably shouldn't be used for an exterior door. I believe the conversion kit is for interior mobile home doors because they are thinner than regular doors and adjust for the correct backset size.
