I have a coleman evcon presidential heater.
Turned heat on for the first time yesterday and the
ignition sequence went fine but the fan did not start.
After a short while I expect the high temp sensor
switched it off.
Finally I used the Fan Off On swith inside and set it to on
and the fan started and the burner remained lit.
Later I had a play again and nothing lights now.
There is now a loose blue wire coming from the thermostat
which is hot because it sparked when I accidently touched it
on part of the furnace casing.
I have yellow, tan, blue, green, and red wires from the
thermostat.
Blue is on RC
Green on G
White on W
Yellow on Y
Red on RC and jumped to RH
In the furnace section
White to White
Red to Red
Green to Gray
Yellow to yellow
Blue to - nothing right now.
So right now if i call for heat on the thermostat the furnace starts
(sounds like a small fan )but no ignition.
Any ideas. I can send a pic
coleman evcon presidential wiring/heat issues
Model # DGAT095ADA
I had an HVAC tech out today and he put in a new
thermostat and the furnace lights however the fan comes on immediately (not allowing combustion chamber to heat up).
I was told we were missing a relay but he said they were
all there.
This is a dogs breakfast as the box where we have the 2
switches (heat/Cool & Cont/Auto) - inside all the wires
are disconected from these switches and hard wired.
However, I do not think much is required as I just need the fan
to start auto after the combustion chamber heats up instead
of immediately.
Thanks Much
Gary

You should have a Fan & Limit switch for the delay.
The components in the a/c box need to be hooked up if still using 2 wire t-stat.
Thanks,
Robert
