I'm about to invest around $11,000 more into my mobile home.
Part of it was renovated by the previous owner and a new
roof was put on.
I'm going to re-do the two bedrooms and bath in the back
as well as the laundry area. All new plumbing electrical etc.
Home is about 30 years old but in great structural shape
from what I have been able to see.
The metal frame on which the home rests has lots of surface
rust but seems pretty sound.
Soil is pretty sandy so that seems to help with any moisture
under trailer which has a permanent insulated foundation.
It's not going to fall apart on me is it?

Hi

If your home is structurally sound then there should be no issues with it falling apart.

My Hubby and I bought this 35yo double wide 18 months ago, we have invested several thousands...doors, windows, new heat and air, master bedroom and bath total renovations, soon to do the guest bath and next year the kitchen. LOL, looks like I got several thousand more to go....

By keeping your home level, dry and maintained you will be fine it should last as long as you need it to, JMO,

Happy Holidays,

Yanita

My home is 27 years old , the floors where spent where water leaked around the tub and doors. The framing and the rest look like brand new wood . I have new siding and you really cant tell how old it really is .
