I recently bought a home with a Colemen Evcon dgat056bdd furnace and currently it has 2 filters. One is shoved into the upper panel and 1 in the lower panel. The inside of the furnace has dust bunnies all up in it. The manual states I only need one filter (19 3/8 x 35 3/4 x 1/4) for what looks like the upper panel.
I was wondering if I should put 2 back into the furnace or 1 like the manual says. Also, should I clean out the furnace dust bunnies? If so, what is the best way?
Sorry if these questions sound stupid. I'm a first time furnace owner and all this is new to me!

You can vacuum or use a damp cloth to gingerly clean around furnace.
Thanks,
Robert
