Hi,
I just replaced my old furnace to a brand new Coleman Evcon furnace. Everthing is working fine. Except everytime the furnace is on, the airflow coming out from the vent smells like oil and it has been this smell for 2 weeks everytime the heater is on. I called the contractor who did the furnace replacement about the smell. He told me the smell from oil is normal becuase the furnace is new. I don't know anything about furnace. I hope you can tell me if is it truth? Should I be worried about the smell?
Thank you,
Mimi
Coleman Evcon heater
Hi Mimi,
They have some smells associated with newness, but shouldn't still be there after 2 weeks of use.
I'd call back and demand a Tech come out.
Thanks,
Robert

Some people are Humbly Grateful, while some are Grumbly Hateful.................... Which one are you ?
