We have Coleman-Evcon 1994 furnace, & on the other side of the house, there is ANOTHER thermostat that says 'Intertherm' on it. What is the 2nd one for?

Hi Kyle,

Not sure, could be an old one that never was removed. Could be to an a/c unit, some people have one t-stat per unit.

Remove cover to see if it is wired (wires connected).

If so, need to find where they go to see what it is for or turn it on and see what happens.

Thanks,
Robert

Well, we do have a/c, which we use in the summer. The thermostat that we use is right next to our Coleman/Evcon furnace, it has switches that let us change it from a/c to heat. The one on the other side does have wires going into the wall, but it won't control our furnace, & it does not have any switches on it

Most likely an old one that was never removed. You can try to see where the wires go to determine if connected anywhere, but if you have another t-stat that operates everything, then it is most likely an old one that was just left mounted on wall.

Thanks,
Robert
