My daughter is new to mobile home ownership and she has a round plastic vent on the exterior of the home that appears to go through the wall because we can see the round louvered cover on the inside of her home, too.
It is near floor level and is in the hall.
Any idea what this vent is for or how to get a replacement? (The louvered cover on the outside is broken.)
Thanks for your help!
What is this vent?

Hi,
Welcome to the site.
I am going to remove this to the Repair forum. I have no clue what this is, maybe someone can answer over there.
Can you post a pic of it?
LOL, not sure how many guys read this forum so I will put your post where it will get more attention.

The difference between success and failure is who gives up first!
Hi & welcome. My first guess would be a dryer vent, but I don't know why there would be a louver on the inside. Is it in an area that would be large enough for a dryer? Greg
"If I can't fix it, I can screw it up so bad no one else can either."
Louvered vent low on the exterior wall? Of a hallway? Am I reading this correctly?
Got pics?

Almost sounds like some sort of venting for a summer home that is/was unoccupied for months at a time. Are the louvers fixed in position or do the flap open/closed?
I gotta admit,sounds custom.

I'll get pictures and post tomorrow. This home has been lived in year round. I'm sure I'm just not describing it well enough for anyone to know what I'm talking about.
The louvers are fixed and I know it's not a dryer vent.
Thanks!

Yea! I think I figured out what this vent is. It's a wall pressure balancing damper. Now to get a replacement part...
Thanks for your help.
