I had a Colman furnace replaced last year with a Nor dyne unit.
I put the A-coil from the Coleman into the nor dyne. Had the system recharged. The a/c works great.
My problem seems to be that the a-coil pan isn't draining properly. I'm getting water on the front side of the furnace. When I had the coil out, I cleaned the coil and drip pan. The drip pan has no holes and the ell that attaches the tube to the pan is new.
I asked a local HVAC guy and he said I may have a slight vacuum inside the coil box that's not letting the water drain. He said to fix this I should install a p-trap. Also mentioned to watch the pipe with the a/c running to see if I can see water running out. Then shut the unit off and see if it drains then.
Does this make any sense?

Thanks for any info!
Water not draining right
Hi,
That is for above blower mounted a-coils and downflow/pull through coils found in electric furnaces.
Have you checked your drain line to ensure it is clear ?
Tape a wet/Dry Vac nozzle to end of drain line outside and pull out any obstructions.
Thanks,
Robert
