If not what is needed to upgrade the furnace for AC operation?

Yes, that furnace is considered a/c ready. Unfortunately it only has a 1-speed blower motor (7966-311P) which isn't the greatest configuration for blowing cold air. Some people change-out the blower assembly to a 2 or 3-speed unit. Those part numbers are 7900-6061/A and 7900-6051/A as seen on this page: http://www.mobilehomerepair.com/ColemanAC.html
