We have a laundryroom cabinet that is very deep. On the middle shelf we have some jugs of water. Over the years junk has accumulated (mainly paper, photos, etc.) that it was crammed full. Tonight we discovered a water jug had burst. There was mildew and black mold on everything in it. Thankfully, the now sagging middle shelf absorbed alot of it. I have a question. On the back cabinet wall I saw some water marks as well as a little bit of mildew. In one place a watermark went on the wall and under the cabinet where we cant see it. There is also a large watermark at the bottom of the cabinet. No water came thru on the other side of the wall (back of cabinets). The wall and everything seems dry now. I have a question. Is it likely that the insulation got wet? Do we need to do anything besides clean the mold off the wall?
Thanks
What do you think?
Most likely the water did not get into the insulation. Should be all surface issues.

As Mark and Greg said, should be just surface cleaning needed.
But I got to ask...how does a gallon of water explode?

Water jugs are so cheaply made nowadays, I think one of them could burst under its own weight.Yanita wrote:Hey Kyle,
