Hi. I'm wondering if anyone knows how to remove indoor/outdoor carpet from a deck? It's lifting in places and is a hazard to walk across. I'm new to this mobile home so I'm not sure how to go about this.

If it is glued down, there is no easy way to do it. I would trt a flat bar and try to rip as much as possible, then try cleaning up the rest with a sander. Greg

Thanks Greg. I was afraid of that. :( Guess I'll have to give it a whirl.

Hi,

It is possible that it is only tacked/stapled to the outer edges. Look for that on outer edges. Maybe it will just pull up since it is already lifting. Is there any trim molding along the edges of the carpeting.?

Hi Yanita. No there is no molding around the edges. As far as tacked or stapled, it's pretty frayed where it's lifted and I don't see any staples. I guess I'll just have to start pulling it up and see what happens.
