This Coleman furnace would not light this morning. After the startup purge you can hear and fell that all relays are activating as is the gas solenoid. There is no ignition and the unit purges and shuts down with a single flash once every 2-3 seconds. If power is reset the indicator light is a steady green.
I did not see a glow through the view window.
Does this sound like the ignitor is out? This furnace is only 3-4 years old.
Also what is the procedure to replace the ignitor?
Thanks
DGAH077BBSA Ignition Failure
Hi,
Yes, that is most likely a bad ignitor. The ignitor is mounted on the burner tube behind the gas valve mounting plate.
You remove the gas valve/mounting plate to get to the burner and ignitor.
Take care and best wishes,
Robert
