My daughter is enjoying her new (1996) mobile home. However... her roommate's bedroom at the front end of the home has a small bay window with a window sill that doesn't seem insulated. There is a ton of cold air coming in and it seems to be coming through the sill (shelf) area of the window. Is there a way to add insulation or just replace the whole window with a normal flat one? Does anyone know of a good repair company in Cedar Rapids/Marion that could do the work?
Thanks in advance for your help!

If it the type of window that you can take the trim off around it, you could try taking off the trim and spraying in some low expansion foam around the window.

Is ther nothing under the seat (shelf) except the plywood? If that's the case rigid insulation is a quick and easy improvement. Cut it to the shape of the bay bottom and fasten.
It's better if you can frame down a box and add more insulation.
