Coleman Evcon flash codes
I have a Coleman Evcon gas furnace (model # DGAT075BDD) That is given a flash code of 5 blinks, Back middle of Dec 08, i had to replace the control board, but now instead of the draft motor running all the time, it is the indoor blower motor running all the time, witch is getting 110 volts from the control board. Does not seem to have a time/delay relay. Please help with this FLASH CODE!!! THANKS BRYAN Carter's H/AC

Hi Bryan,
5 flashes = gas valve energized with no call for heat.
Remove control box panel cover and test W to C on control board for 24vac.
Then disconnect 9 pin molex connector plug at top of board and test across pins 2 and 4(2 brown wires going to gas valve) for 24vac.
IF you have 24vac at pins 2 and 4, BUT do not have 24vac across W and C at same time, the board is bad.
If that is so, then look for moisture or water possibly getting in and shorting out or ruining the board.
Also see if they are aware of the recall on their furnace and if they have had it inspected and repaired under the recall.
Thanks,
Robert
Thanks
