Hi I'm Angie. I have posted here before but it's been a while.
My Coleman Model # - 7966856 has had trouble staying lit. Then I couldn't get it lit at all so I replaced the thermocouple. Now it lights but it won't stay on. I though near the end of last winter it was the ferocious wind we have around these parts, but today after I replced the thermocouple it did it again and it is dead calm.

What could be causing the furnace to not stay lit? I replaced the thermocouple about 1 1/2 yrs ago. then this problem began at the end of last winter.

Thanks
Angie

Hi Angie,

Be sure pilot flame covers top 1/2" to 3/4" of thermocouple tip. If so with no wind and new thermocouple, may be a gas valve going bad.

Thanks,
Robert
